Residency Permit and Bankomat
We found out on Wednesday that we will need to get a residency permit because we will be in the country for more than 90 days. This requires all of the normal paperwork, passport, extra passport photos, marriage license and of course the Tulajdoni lap, we had forgotten ours, what ever it was. A phone call to Ilona indicated she knew what it was, a document signed by the owner of the flat indicating that he owns the flat and the flat isn't being rented by anyone who isn't the owner. The owner lives in Spain, I offered to deliver it but she thought it would be better to send it by mail. So that was out of the way until the form arrives, hopefully we aren't deported before then.
After this ordeal we headed to a beautiful area just south of the Petofi Bridge, a cultural center and business park, home of the National Theater, the Ludwig Museum and the National Concert Hall. We scheduled a tour of the hall for Saturday the 28th.
There is a great sculpture garden with statues of famous Hungarian actors, the Willie Lohman was great and a particular favorite of our friend Annamarie.
There is a pic of a set of columns that is a reminder of the old theater that was torn down under the communist influences.
We also headed north to the end of #2 Tram, we checked the Western Train Station, quite a place, pic of twin towers at the Tram stop across the street, trains leaving for all cities in Europe, we'll visit there again soon.
The wash just finished, we have a pork roast in the oven and the day is winding down.
More later
