Roofs of Szentendre
It has been difficult to blog the past couple of days, everyone has been working on last minute changes to papers. It has been an interesting experience for me being considered the "editor" of these papers, I know Marcie is cringing. The fascinating and the most difficult part was reading perspectives from three researchers writing about three distinct study groups from three very different cultures. The data was insightfully gathered and the results were well presented. It will or at least should be a book. But that's not what this blog is about. It's about my visit this week to Szentendre, which I can now spell without looking on a map or in a guide book. I traveled there to have lunch with Viktoria and let her give me a tour of the town, all in English. The town has Roman ruins, narrow streets and several churches but this blogs photos will feature the red tile roofs. Due to the church hill you have a 360' view of the cities tiles, many of which have been recycled from the original Roman baths built here. Enjoy the roofs of Szentendre.
