Tonight we attended another cultural event. It seems to me that flea markets and motorcycle races are cultural events but Lisa says they are not.
The Erlin Gallery had an opening night event and we were invited. The featured artist was Peter Kovacs who won the Kossuth Award several years ago. The Kossuth is the most prestigious art award in Hungary.
The event was well attended by the Budapest art community.

Entertainment was provided by Mbaye Ndiaye and Maly Bayefall: two Senegalese drummers. They were very energetic and entertaining.
They hired me as their agent for all of North and South America. They initially didn’t want to give me South America but I told them of my ability to speak a little Spanish and a little bit of Portuguese and that cinched the deal.
The folks from Utah came to the opening and stayed for dinner. They found paprika. See pic.
We roasted a nice fresh turkey breast tonight. We had it with vegetables from the market. Any meat, fruit or vegetable that is produced locally is always labeled Magyar. (Hungarian)
The photos are of the drummers, Lisa with Peter Marcus and Lisa with Peter Kovacs and his wife. (wife of art)
Observation… Hungarians carry their cut flowers with the blossoms down which makes perfect sense to me. The blossoms stay fresher because the moisture is heading toward the bud and not away. In addition on crowed sidewalks or trains the buds are protected.
