Tonight we took the tram to Moszkva ter to meet Veronica the excellent graphic designer from ELTE. She has been working with Lisa on cards to announce her shows. The exact locations are still developing but the art work is done and we wanted to get a price from the printer. The print shop is near Moszkva ter. It all makes sense now...right.
We arrived at the print shop at 8:15 the place was buzzing. I challenge you to find a print shop open past 6 pm in the States.
The print shop is located in a giant building that at one time was the main post office for Budapest. It is now chopped up into small businesses. Lisa said she had envisioned a dark dusty place with old presses and lino-type machines. Old men with visors. This place was all digital, Xerox machines whirling, all run by computers, very efficient. It still looked like a post office.
Moszkva ter is the shabbiest of the transportation stations we have visited, always busy but in need of a make over. It is served by the Metro, by the main tram line, 4 smaller tram lines and a bunch of bus lines. We have spent a bunch of time there in the last three weeks. I took a few pictures tonight as the sun was setting.
No rain today, the tutoring is going well, Lisa is going to the Hungarian National Gallery tomorrow for an opening of Autism Art. We think the title isn't PC but that's the title. Aniko will open the program and she has asked Lisa to attend. Should be interesting. There are 2 other openings this week, I am struggling to come up with excuses.
You will recall I bought a Grundig radio. I finally found a station that broadcasts BBC News 2 or three times a day, in addition their programming is interesting. Tonight they have played Frank Sinatra's "My Way" immediately following Wagners "Ride of the Valkyries. The best of Tiny Tim is at 10 pm.
Pictures are of Veronica and Lisa meeting with the dreaded dude at the print shop, Moszkova ter and a picture on the No. 61 Tram.
