Clayton arrives, bomb scare at airport. Curious?

A quick posting before turning in. Clayton’s flight arrived from Paris about 40 minutes late but was delayed further by a bomb scare in terminal 2A at Budapest International Airport and I was there to record the festivities. It seems some mope had left his briefcase at the information desk and that caused a RED Alert. A utility cart arrived with all sorts of bomb safety equipment. There were big bomb blankets, what looked like giant bomb Aladdin Thermos’s and every type of CAUTION tape you could imagine. The special bomb policemen arrived and it occurred to them it might be a good idea to evacuate the area. We all evacuated and stood around outside. The fire trucks came, the bomb squad came and the bomb smelling dog arrived and declared everything was safe. A nice police lady said “no pictures,” but it was too late, the event was documented and will be reported here, just the way it happened.

Anyway, Clayton arrived tired but in good order, he knew nothing about the big bomb scare. After a short rest we headed out for drinks and dinner. We will explore the city on Wednesday.
